OUR BOARD
I grew up in North Carolina, served in the United States Marine Corps, graduated from the University of North Carolina (where I met my lovely wife, Melissa), moved to Colorado in 1999, and spent 27 years in the financial services and investment management industry (the last 20 as a senior sales executive). I bought myself a 997 4S for my 40th birthday and went to my first HPDE a few months later. I caught the bug and built my first racecar (Spec Boxster) and started racing it within 1 year of that first HPDE. I raced Porsche Boxsters with PCA, NASA and WRL, and formed Big Mission Motorsports in 2017. Big Mission Motorsports continues to compete in WRL with a multi-car team. I founded Big Mission Automotive in 2020 and “retired” from my career in 2022. I work more hours/harder now at Big Mission than I ever did in my career, but I am thoroughly enjoying this retirement phase. I currently drive a 2010 Cayenne Transsyberia with 194k miles. Past Porsches include three 986 Boxsters and a 997 4S. Melissa and I have been married 27 years and have two daughters that are grown and on their own.
I was born in Park Ridge, Illinois and grew up in Colorado Springs, graduating from University of Colorado, Colorado Springs. After graduating college, I have spent most of my career at Lockheed Martin. It is here in the Springs where I met my husband Tim. I have loved cars since a young age, starting off with my 300ZX, then BMW and now we have a Lexus and 911 Porsche Turbo. I have been honored to serve on the AMR Board as Secretary and now Treasurer. What I enjoy the most is meeting the great people in our region and PCA. I am looking forward to continuing to help the club as Treasurer and working with all the Members across all the ways that the club provides.
I spent my childhood years in a small town in northern Indiana, not far from Notre Dame, as did my wife. We met at too early an age to admit. After graduating from college, I spent my entire 46 year engineering/manager career with McDonnell-Douglas/Boeing mostly in St Louis, MO. However, we had several years on remote assignment at Edwards AFB in California and also several years in Melbourne, Australia. My specialty is fighter aircraft such as the F-15 Eagle, F/A-18 Hornet, and AV-8B Harrier.
I have been a car enthusiast since first getting my driver’s license. My Dad loved American cars way back to the classics of the 20’s and 30’s. I got the foreign car bug in college and subsequently bought a new 1966 Triumph TR-4A ($3250) as my campus car. Learned the nearly weekly maintenance needed on a British car! In the early 1970’s it was time to replace the TR, so shopping around I drove a 1967 911S for $3000. (Imagine that!) Ultimately, decided to spend a little more money and bought a new Datsun 240Z. (Often wonder how my life would have changed had I bought that Porsche.) The 240Z was replaced with a Jaguar E-Type which I subsequently restored. Various BMW’s have also inhabited my garage over the years. I ultimately fell into the Porsche fold in 2016 when I bought my 996 as a retirement gift to myself. I remain a British and German car enthusiast and still have the 1967 E-Type and a 1967 Austin-Healey to remind me how much progress has been made in automobiles in the last 55+ years.
My other expensive hobby is flying. I hold a Private Pilot’s license and am qualified to fly in the mountains. I am a board member of the Experimental Aircraft Association at Meadowlake airport, and also a member of the Civil Air Patrol. My CAP qualifications are in Search & Rescue missions along with Aerial Photography.
Shortly after purchasing the 996, I joined the St Louis “Gateway” region. But there was little activity to participate in other than an occasional HPDE or car show. We moved to Colorado Springs area in 2020, right at the start of the Pandemic. Even though there was an understandable slow start with AMR events in that time frame we eagerly participated in available socials and tours including working the Treffen. Because of AMR members, we were welcomed to and really enjoyed learning about our new home state. I have also supported HPDE by conducting the Control operations at many events. Wife, Brenda, supports AMR as the Social Chair. We look forward to supporting AMR because the members have been so good in welcoming us to our new home.
I was born in Colorado Springs and grew up in Florissant on a ranch. Just recently married in 2024. I have been in the automotive accounting industry for 15 years. I am currently a controller for Pikes Peak Harley Davidson. My first Porsche was a 2008 Cayenne, then my first track car was a 2007 Cayman. I now have a 2013 boxster S which I love and drive both on and off the track. I also enjoy volunteering as a foster mom for Happy Cats Haven.
It’s awesome to serve as one of your Members-At-Large. I’m originally from the Redondo beach area in Southern California. Received my commission after college and served 32 years with the Air Force, 12 years flying and 20 years as an engineer/PM on aircraft/satellite programs. We first moved to Colorado Springs in the 90s and knew this is where we wanted to retire. I caught the motorsport bug early on, spending the 80s and early 90s tracking motorcycles and my first-gen RX-7’s on road courses throughout Kansas, Oklahoma, and Texas. Once fully retired in 2015, I started down the motorsport path again but this time with BMWs. This kept the addiction going until 2021 when I drove and later acquired a sublime Cayman 718 S, and subsequently joined PCA. My wife and I love being involved with AMR HPDE activities, and you’ll also find us both supporting other regional motorsport events such as the Porsche Clubsport series and the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. My wife Christina and I have been married for 25 years and have a daughter and son both attending UCCS.
My name is Joel Godfredson and I have been a member of the PCA since 2003. I along with my wife Doreen have a daughter named Lindsey and a son named Henry. We also have 2 grand kids. As my Dad likes to say, I was raised in a Porsche as my Father has had many throughout his life including many 356’s, 911’s and even a real 911ST that was raced by the Porsche factory. I have held many positions within PCA in the past including Driving Instructor, Safety Chair, Registration, Vice President and President. I currently own a 1989 944 S2 a 1991 964 C2 that has been converted to a 1974 RSR a 2007 997 Turbo and a 2014 Cayenne Diesel. I enjoy downhill skiing, running, hiking, biking, boating and spending time at my cabin in northern Minnesota and everything Porsche!

I first joined PCA (Chicago Region) in 1988, shortly after purchasing my first Porsche – a Guards Red ‘88 951 (aka 944 Turbo), which I still own. I had always intended to drive it in a PCA HPDE, but work kept getting in the way. It wasn’t until after we had moved to the Springs that I finally drove it in my first HPDE at La Junta in May 2006. I eventually bought a ‘06 Cayman S, then a ‘15 Cayman GTS and I am now driving a ‘21 Cayman GT4. Suffice to say that I love Caymans & I love driving them on the track! I became a member of AMR in 2006 and I joined the AMR CDI Committee in 2015. As the saying goes, it’s not just the cars, it’s the people. I’ve made many great friends since joining AMR, but none better than my current & former CDI teammates. We work hard to make our events fun, safe and educational. I hope to see many of you at one of our upcoming HPDEs!
I joined PCA in June 2008 when I purchased my 1st Porsche, a 2006 Atlas Grey Cayman S. After participating in a couple of autocross events, I signed up for my first HPDE at Pueblo Motorsports Park with the “old” configuration in June 2010. After that, I was hooked on performance driving, participating in as many events (HPDEs and open lapping days) as I could. I drove the Colorado tracks of PMP, HPR, PPIR, La Junta, and Aspen. I attended as many open lapping days as I could, averaging 20-35 track days/year for many years. I became an instructor with the AMR in 2014 and a Chief Driving Instructor in 2017. I can truly say I get as much enjoyment riding with and coaching drivers as I do driving solo. AMR/PCA is very dear to my heart. I somewhat consider myself an ambassador for the brand, as I have encouraged many purchases for my friends. I am on my 3rd Cayenne, my wife drives a Macan, and I have owned a C4S, Boxster S, and Cayman GT4. Prior to driving Porsches, I owned 4 Alfa Romeo Spiders, and I participated in numerous SCCA autocross events over a span of 5 years. I am a General Dentist by trade for 24 years, and as a super detail-oriented person, that’s where my greatest appreciation for the Porsche brand comes from. Porsche…there is no substitute!
I joined the Porsche club in 2007 shortly after purchasing my first Porsche, a 1968 912. It has been powered by a 3.2L flat six with 46mm Weber IDA carburetors since 2012, and is currently undergoing a restoration. I did my first HPDE in August of 2008. I became a driving instructor in 2016 and have been a CDI since 2017. I have had a passion for cars for as long as I can remember. I started working on, learning, and disassembling my dad’s 1970 VW Beetle Convertible at age 14 and cars, particularly VWs, quickly became a focal point of my life. I have owned my business, Motorworks Restorations, for 22 years now, focusing on the concours restoration of vintage VWs and Porsches. My favorite part of being in the Porsche club is the people. I have made lifelong friends and I cherish our time together, doing what we love! I enjoy all aspects of performance driving. I particularly love teaching the novice classroom, training new instructors, and seeing my prior students become instructors. My favorite track to drive is Pueblo, and if I ever have the opportunity, my dream track to drive on would be Spa (preferably in a 997.2 GT3 RS). Aside from cars and driving, I sing in the Colorado Vocal Arts Ensemble, a small professional local choir. Around town you might see me cruising in my 2017 Cayenne S E-Hybrid with my wife Erin and our young daughter Aria.
Walter (Wally) Weart’s career has always been connected to transportation including teaching at Community Colleges and the University of Northern Colorado. He has authored nearly 200 bylined magazine articles as well as part of several college level texts on this topic Wally has worked for trucking companies and was a locomotive engineer. He is on fourth Porsche and this is next most favorite mode of transportation. Locomotives are his first choice.
As a retired Family Physician with over 40 years in the field, I was on many boards at the local, state and national level. I was the Medical Doctor for the Pikes Peak Hill Climb and PPIR where I dealt with Indy Car, NASCAR, and IMSA. I raced in PCA Club Racing and RMVR vintage racing. With this background I feel I can contribute to the safety aspect of the club and the responsibilities as a Board member. I have been a member of AMR PCA for 30 years and a Driving Instructor for 27 years which included instructing in BMW Clubs, Nissan National Race Programs and Private Driving Days. Member-at-Large duties, according to the recently approved Bylaws, is to “Represent the club members in general.” I feel this position should bring issues affecting the entire membership to the Board in a non-biased manner. Overall, Porsche Club should be FUN. This should include meetings, rallies, HPDE, autocross, tours and just simple group rides. Now that I’m retired, I wish to give back to the Club and help in any way to make a better experience for everyone.

Life started on Long Island, NY. I purchased my first car in 1961, a 1954 Jaguar XK120 coupe for $700.00. It started my career in automobiles as I had to learn how to repair the Jaguar. In 1966 I started Reliable Racing Enterprises, I sports car repair shop. My race cars included an Austin Healey 3000, a TVR, and an MGB, all racing in SCCA Regional and National Events from 1966 to 1977 included winning the North Atlantic Road Racing Trophy. The repair shop grew to an automobile franchise dealership, Sportique Motors Ltd. Selling many brands but finally ending with the Jaguar and Porsche brands. The store was sold in 1999 after moving to Telluride in 1994. In 2003 I started MayaAir, LLC an air charter company operating out of Telluride with me as the sole employee flying our TurboProp 840 Commander. I sold the company in 2015, continuing as an employee for the new owner from which I finally completely retired in 2019. My current car collection includes a 1928 Packard 526 Runabout, 1938 Chevrolet Deluxe Master Business Coupe, 1963 Jaguar XKE OTS, 1972 Triumph TR6, 1985 Harley Davidson Wide Glide, 1996 Porsche 911 C4S (993), 2010 Ferrari 458, and a 2020 Porsche 911 C4S (992). I am an active skier, enjoy tennis, & fitness training. My wife Mary and I continue to enjoy our collection, our road trips, and our life in Telluride with our Portuguese Water Dog Riley. It is an honor for me to serve on your tour committee.
I came to Colorado from Alaska when I was in my early 20’s. There was sunshine here compared to the rain forest that I grew up in. I was a car painter in my 20’s, (1977 – 1981), then worked at a construction company in 1981 through 1985. I think I was trying to get killed every day doing that. I was a certified welder working in erecting precast concrete buildings. I got my real estate license in 1985 and have been selling real estate since. I also manage a private loan company for a family enterprise here in Teller County. I moved to Teller County in 1992 and now reside in Florissant, CO, with my wife. My love of driving Porsches came alive when I discovered a used 1994 911 Carrera 4 sitting up in Denver at a used car lot. That was in 2005, and it was a fun car, and I wish I still had it as those are worth a lot these days. I currently have a 2003 911 Turbo (996), and a 2011 Cayenne Turbo. I joined PCA in 2021. The reality that I can assist in putting Porsche Tours together links me with others who share the passion of Porsche sports cars, while discovering fun, curvy roads all across Colorado.
I’m a retired native Coloradan with a love of Porsches that started in the mid sixties. My college years involved living in Utah & Hawaii where I earned a computer science degree (and NAUI scuba diving certification).
My first Porsche was a 2000 Guards Red Boxster and now I drive a 2017 GT Silver 718 Cayman (my first non red sports car).
In 2006 I joined AMR and was a member through 2010. During those years, I helped with DEs, served on the Board Of Directors as a “Member-At-Large” (2007 & 2008), was a “Mystery Fall Tour” Chair (2008), the club’s “Enthusiast Of The Year” winner (2008), a Porsche Parade Tour Lead and Sweeper (Keystone 2009), Autocross Chair (2008 & 2009) and the club’s Webmaster (2009 – 2010). In 2009 we submitted the club’s website to Porsche Parade and won 2nd place. I rejoined AMR last year and helped the “Tour Committee” with the Fall 2024 “West Slope Grand Loop” Tour.
I grew up in Aurora, Colorado. I did competitive dance growing up for 17 years. I graduated from Palmer Ridge High School in 2018 and am currently at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs for my bachelors degree in Criminal Justice. I am the Titles Admin for Pikes Peak Harley Davidson and I have been with PPHD for 6 years. I have a 5 year old dog named Hercules who is a German Shepherd Pitbull Labrador mix. I purchased my first Porsche (2020 Macan) in January of 2025.
