Thank you for your support of our newest charity, One Nation Walking Together (ONWT), at our October social. ONWT provides hope and services to between 30,000 to 40,000 Native Americans in Colorado and eight other surrounding states, by loading 53-foot Semi trucks that deliver up to $2 million worth of donated goods to reservations annually. Your generosity helped to fill their trucks with Christmas presents for children and teens.
At our November Ladies Luncheon, we’ll be supporting One Nation Walking Together by collecting new unwrapped Christmas gifts for babies and toddlers. Some of the most requested items are:
rattles/teething toys
mobiles
playmats
building blocks
stacking toys
play phones
dolls
playdough
toy tools
coloring books/crayons
At every AMR social there will be more opportunities to help people living in Colorado Springs and El Paso county. We’ll be collecting items that are needed by organizations such as Marion House, Tri Lakes Cares, TESSA, Care & Share, Urban Peak and the Salvation Army.
