DESCRIPTION:Join us for a different take on the annual AMR Picnic. This time\, you don’t need to bring any food! We have it all handled for you. \nWe’ll take a short scenic drive to our destination\, the incredible Rambler Ranch in Elizabeth\, CO. Covering over 60\,000 square feet across five buildings\, Rambler Ranch is home to the most extensive private collection of American Motors Corporation (AMC)\, predecessor company cars and trucks\, as well as other vehicles and marketing memorabilia. It includes prototypes\, concepts\, race cars\, unique one-offs\, and popular cars spanning over a century of automotive history. The collection features hundreds of vehicles displayed throughout the wooded property\, along with a restoration shop and exhibits showcasing Kelvinator and other antique appliances\, vintage clothing and accessories\, a Sinclair gasoline station\, a 1960s diner\, and even an entire apartment decorated in authentic 1960s style. \nOh\, and they have a beautiful picnic area\, complete with a store selling cold drinks (included with your registration) and ice cream (on your own). Catering will be provided by Famous Dave’s BBQ and is also included with your registration\, as is admission to the entire collection. \nThe $55pp registration includes all food and beverages\, as well as admission to the entirety of the collection. \nWe will meet at the Park & Ride in Monument\, just north of the intersection of CO-105 and Woodmoor Drive. DESCRIPTION:BOREAS PASS OFF ROAD TOUR \nSEPTEMBER 12TH\, 2026 \nJoin the Alpine Mountain Region Porsche Club of America for a scenic off-road adventure to historic Boreas Pass! This unique tour offers a change of pace from our traditional driving events\, taking us onto one of Colorado’s most beautiful maintained mountain roads while enjoying spectacular mountain scenery\, great company\, and a relaxed picnic at the summit. \nOur day begins at Porsche Colorado Springs\, our gracious event sponsor and meeting location\, before heading west through Lake George. We’ll travel north along scenic Tarryall Road with a restroom stop at Tarryall Reservoir before continuing west to the historic railroad town of Como. From there\, we’ll turn onto Boreas Pass Road and climb to the Black Powder Pass Trailhead near the summit for lunch. \nPlease bring your own picnic lunch. SUMMARY:Fall Tour 2026
DESCRIPTION:AMR FALL TOUR OURAY\nAMR 2026 Fall tour September 18 to September 20 \nThis September 18th\, when the leaves start to change\, the morning air is as crisp as that perfect apple on your first bite\, with the sun shining bright\, fire up that Porsche engine\, hear the roar of the exhaust and join the AMR 2026 Fall Tour departing from Porsche Colorado Springs with Western Slope members joining the tour for lunch in Almont\, CO. \nWe are heading to Ouray\, CO\, traversing over the Million Dollar Highway\, and  two other passes including Cottonwood Pass.  You will join 20 other Porsches as we weave around and through the turns and twisty roads as we  hand out 12 prizes on this fun drive at various stops along the way.  We stop for lunch in Almont at the Three Rivers Resort and then head south to Gunnison. Continuing south on CO 114 to Del Norte where we will spend the night and dine at the famed restored Windsor Hotel with its 1800 style décor.  In the morning\, we will continue west on US 160  over Wolf Creek Pass\, through Pagosa Springs while  gazing at some of the most beautiful scenery in Colorado.  To avoid the Durango traffic\, we will head north on County Road 151 in Bayfield.  Then as CR151 becomes CR240  we will turn north on CR250 to the Million Dollar Highway (US  550) in Trimble\, CO.  A Lunch stop  in Silverton at the renowned Handle Bars Restaurant where we can reminisce about the mountain passes  we just crossed. After departing Silverton  we cross Red Mountain Pass\, and the Continental Divide as we weave on the black top ribbon through the rock outcroppings and drop into Ouray.  We will spend 2 nights in Ouray for lots of social time as it is not the cars\, it is the people that makes our tours unique. \nSo please\, come join us as we complete our last overnight tour for 2026 ending on Sunday\, September 20th.
