Join us for an unforgettable experience to the Royal Gorge, just outside Canon City, Colorado. The highlight of the tour is the Royal Gorge Bridge – the highest suspension bridge in the United States, towering 955 feet above the Arkansas River. Traffic on the bridge is usually reserved only for pedestrians, but we’ve been granted special permission to travel as a group across the bridge and back, pausing to take some photos on the bridge itself. The steel structure is covered with 1292 wooden planks and is 18 feet wide. The bridge was the highest in the world until 2001 and built at a cost just less than a new GT2 RS ($350,000), construction took only 6 months to complete in 1929. After our visit to the Royal Gorge Bridge and Park, we will continue the tour on some great curved roads around the Cover Mountain area on the Gold Belt Scenic Byway.
We’ll return back at the Royal Gorge Bridge Park to stretch our legs, capture a few more memories and end the tour with a catered lunch!

We will depart at 7:45 AM from Porsche Colorado Springs at 917 Motor City Drive in Colorado Springs. Plan to arrive at the dealership by 7:00 AM for breakfast snacks, registration and a mandatory driver’s meeting.
