AMR Triple Play: Car Show/HPDE/Autocross @ Pikes Peak International Raceway

When’s the last time you’ve been to Pike’s Peak International Raceway? Since 2019? 2015? Longer??? Time to break that streak and join AMR in our First Triple Play Weekend!! What the heck is a Triple Play Weekend?? Easy. #1 A High-Performance Drivers Education event (2 days, Saturday and Sunday) #2 a one-day Wash & Shine Car Show on Saturday and #3 an Autocross on Sunday! Try one – or all three!! All at close-by, easy to get to Pike’s Peak International Raceway.

Our talented instructors will make you feel comfortable in your car and get you safely conquering 2/3rds of the famed oval plus the exciting infield course! Those of you that have been to PPIR – the Club has not had an HPDE there since 2019 – bring your car and your skills to the track.
Information and registration HERE for the HPDE: HPDE REGISTRATION

Wash & Shine Car Show!! A first for us here! Bring your favorite car: vintage, brand-new or “franken-car” – clean or not-so clean…and enter the Car Show. You’ll be judged (by your peers) on some fun and unique categories! There is no cost to enter. The show will take place during the Saturday HPDE. Walk around, grab a bite from the food truck and vote on your favorite car! Winners will be announced after the HPDE concludes on Saturday.

NEW this year: watch the second group run while “professional” cone shaggers keep the course clear!! Taking place in the West Lot of PPIR, come watch the AX, or the DE – we will have a food truck on site for the entire weekend. This is a great way to take advantage without the commitment of seeing how these events run. If nothing else, you’ll have a blast watching it all happen! Registration and information about the Autocross HERE: AUTOCROSS REGISTRATION

It’s been since 2019 that we’ve been to PPIR for an HPDE – it’s time to go back and SHIFT INTO SUMMER!

This is a great track for all drivers – novice to experienced.

Registration will close on Sunday May 1st. Be sure to register early. Priority in being confirmed is based on the date and time you register. ALL DRIVERS WILL BE WAITLISTED UPON REGISTRATION until the event/AMR CDI Team confirms your driving status and availability of an instructor should one be required/requested. Priority will be given to drivers that register for two days.

Billing will be deferred – so register now and pay later! (Charges will be processed on May 2, 2023). We will be using Speed Waivers for this event. Please follow the instructions in the registration area.

Your membership will be validated during registration. If you have not added  your PCA Membership please update your profile. AMR Advanced Driving Techniques with Ronn Langford
May 20 @ 9:00 am – 3:00 pm

High Performance Driving Seminar
with Ronn Langford

Saturday May 20th 9 AM – 3 PM

Join us for a day of learning and participation with Ronn Langford, co-author of “Inner Speed Secrets” on Saturday May 20, 2023.  This is a great opportunity to improve your driving from a “mental” perspective (no actual driving will take place). Ronn’s book and techniques have been used and endorsed by professional and recreational drivers alike.

Many years ago Ronn completely transformed my performance in a race car from a pretty quick driver on the local scene to a level wehre I could compete with anyone. And the transformation was rapid. I totally bought into his approach, and it paid dividends almost immediately. I owe every bit of my success on Pikes Peak and in road racing since then to Ronn. Oh, and it made me a far more effective coach, myself too. Attend this and be a sponge – you’ll be amazed at the results.
-Chris Lennon AMR Member, National PCA HPDE Committee

Event requirements

This seminar is open to all, but will be most beneficial to experienced drivers.  Attendance is limited to 20. Preference will be given to AMR members, RMR members, and repeat HPDE attendees in order of registration.
