You’ve cleaned up your car and are headed out for some errands, but you decide to take the “long way” including some nice curvy roads. As you settle into the drive, you smile at the feeling of acceleration and the sound of your engine as your smoothy take one curve and then another. Your mind wanders for a moment…”I wonder what it would be like to take this on a racetrack?”
Modern technology has given us cars with capabilities far above what is required for daily driving. Most people never get the opportunity to experience, firsthand, the true potential of their Porsche. Taking that same “daily driver” to the track allows you to see just what these cars are actually capable of.
Come join seasoned drivers and first-timers alike at DE 101 where our panel will give you all the information you need to safely and successfully attend an event. The goal of every DE is to educate, build skills and teach the application of advanced driving techniques that are essential on a track – but also helpful on your regular commute. It is not racing school! Using the confines of a racetrack allows our instructors to provide the first-time driver, or the track-junkie with a safe and controlled environment to learn and practice these skills.
Surrounded by awesome cars, our interactive panel of drivers will share all there is to know about preparing, attending and enjoying an HPDE. We’ll cover how to register, prepare your car for the track, tech inspection and what to do an expect when you arrive for your HPDE weekend. If you’re just curious about how a DE works – this is the Class for you. If you want to find out what volunteer opportunities exist – this is the Class for you too! We welcome members and non-members alike! You don’t have to own a porsche to participate.
There is no charge to attend, but we do ask that you register. Registration is OPEN and will close on March 10th. First time participants that attend this class will receive a discount on their first AMR HPDE Registration. We can’t extend the discount if you do not register!!
