Also, Kathleen Lennon no longer needs plastic grocery bags to crochet into plastic mats for the homeless! The supply of bags now far exceeds what is needed for many months to come. Thank you to everyone who has been bringing these bags to the socials.

May 19 all-day

This is your chance to head to the mountains and tackle a couple of mountain passes in your P-car. Please join us on Saturday, May 19 on a drive up to Breckenridge and lunch at the end of the drive. We will depart at 8:30 AM from Garden of the Gods Nature and Visitor Center at 1805 N 30th St in Colorado Springs. Plan to arrive at the Nature Center by 8:00 AM for breakfast snacks, registration and a mandatory driver’s meeting.
We will head west and north towards Deckers, and then cross Kenosha and Hoosier Passes. After passing through Breckenridge, we will end the tour in Dillon where we will have lunch at the Pug Ryan’s Brewery (a change from Dillon Dam Brewery) at 104 Village Pl, Dillon. AMR “CASTLES, TRAINS, & PORSCHES” TOUR @ Multiple destinations

Guaranteed this will be more fun than the movie Planes, Trains, and Automobiles. Please join us on an Saturday, June 2 for an afternoon drive down to Bishop’s Castle. We will depart at 1:00 PM from 1st and Main Town Center (north parking lot at the Holiday Inn Express, 3431 Cinema Point) in Colorado Springs. Plan to arrive by 12:15 PM for registration and a mandatory driver’s meeting. Hint: The 1st Saturday June Car Show is earlier in the morning, so make a day of it.

We will first head south along Hwy 115 toward Fairview and Bishop’s Castle. After exploring the castle, we will head to Westcliffe, then north to Hwy 50 and Texas Creek and finally east to Canon City where we will end the tour about 5:30 PM. The Tour Registration is open on

Now, you are probably wondering where is the train? As an option after the tour, join your friends for a Murder Mystery train ride and dinner on the Royal Gorge Route that departs at 6:30 PM from Canon City. Reservations are limited for the dinner train and can be made by calling the Royal Gorge Route, 719-276-4000, and adding to the existing confirmation #381523 at a cost of $134 per person. There is a minimum age of 8 years old for the dinner. It’s a three course dinner with your choice of Chicken Teriyaki, Roasted Pork Shank, Roasted Prime Rib, Atlantic Salmon, Vegetable Napoleon, or Vegetarian Wellington (includes chef’s choice dessert). Some of this year’s PPIHC Porsche drivers will be on hand to discuss the race and the cars that they are competing in! Guests can order off of the full menu and it is limited to 40 people. Attention Porsche Enthusiasts and Foodies!

This scenic driving tour will include an easy drive on Friday from Colorado Springs, lunch in Buena Vista and a drive over Independence Pass, arriving in Snowmass early in the afternoon so you can enjoy the amenities at the Crestwood Condominiums. Friday dinner will also be included.  On Saturday morning, join us for a half day tour up to our favorite lunch location at the Living Farm Café in Paonia.  We will be back Saturday in the early afternoon so everyone has time to relax before heading across the street to the Heritage Fire Event (participants have option of purchasing Heritage Fire Tickets or dining on their own).  This wonderful three-hour dining event will conclude the amazing weekend.

For those who have not heard of the Heritage Fire Snowmass Event – here is a short description:  The event focuses on traditional outdoor cooking techniques, paired with free-flowing wines from more than 35 boutique producers, craft beers and spirits, and small-batch ciders. The list of heritage and heirloom foods includes dry-aged beef, whole pigs, lamb, goat, squab, rabbit, duck, fish, chicken, artisan cheeses, oysters, and heirloom vegetables.

Base Registration includes two nights lodging in beautiful one bedroom condominiums, Breakfast and Lunch on both Friday and Saturday,  a goodie bag and a special memento of the weekend.

We have secured discount Heritage Fire tickets ($25 off the General Admission price) which can be chosen separately for Saturday night (the Saturday night event is three hours longs and includes an amazing variety of food and beverage just steps from our lodging).
